I developed a spline tool to streamline the scene dressing process for a 3D animated trailer, Seeking Sanctuary. The tool allows users to randomly place objects along a spline, with customisable options for assets, spacing, rotation, and scale.

To enhance the user experience, the tool includes customisable features such as density, rotation, and scale, making it easy for team members to customise the output for their respective scenes. The easy-to-swap assets make it adaptable, and the customisation features allowed the team to make quick adjustments to the asset placements within a scene.

KEY FEATURES
Spline Drawing
Users draw the spline by placing points to create a line. This allows them to chose the length of the spline and its sections, as well as its location in the scene. The spline and its individual points can be edited at any time.

Asset Selection
Users simply drag and drop their chosen assets into the tool, and they will be spawned at random along the spline.

Customisable Density, Rotation, and Scale
With simple sliders, users can customise the spacing, rotation and scale of the assets along the line. For further customisation, they can also individually select the assets to move and rotate them to their needs.
